- Why We Exist
Faith Matters in Democracy
Many people of faith feel unseen in public life. Fear often sets the tone, and the assumption that all people of faith think alike pushes compassion and steady reasoning aside. Indiana Faith Voices for Justice exists to change that by creating space for people of faith to speak with clarity, dignity, and courage.
Our democracy is strongest when faithful voices bring steadiness and moral conviction into civic life.
We help congregations &
individuals understand:

Teaching and training on how civic engagement works

Workshops that build practical advocacy skills

Events that gather people of faith across communities and traditions

Clear, timely updates on legislation and public issues that affect daily life

Opportunities to volunteer, host, speak, and help shape what comes next

What People Are Saying
Many people of faith feel overlooked in public life.
“Faith should never be used to divide. IFVFJ reminds us that love is public, and that when people of faith stand together with open hearts, we create space where everyone feels seen and valued.”
Reverend Mark Lynch- Metanoia
Church of Transformation, United Church of Christ. Director of Advocacy, Indy Hunger Network

Support Steady Work That Lasts
Donations power our events, trainings, and partnerships, and they give us the capacity to move when timing matters. Monthly support helps us plan ahead, and one time gifts make a real difference. If you want to be hands on, becoming a volunteer is one of the best ways to strengthen this work from the inside.
